Personality:
Full of kindness and curiosity, she is always looking for something to learn. She loves life, and unlife, but more than either, she loves animals. She seems to have accepted her Embrace with ease, even though her doubts and uncertainties are still wild inside her chest; she is not one to tell people how she feels if it will have a negative effect on their day.
She always sees the best in people, making her seem naive and ignorant, despite her intelligence.
Finley has difficulty making or keeping friends, but not from a lack of trying. She is open and charming, but most people simply cannot keep up with her.

Appearance:
At five feet, four inches, Finley is slightly shorter than average. She is extremely pale with what many people consider flawless skin, straight black hair, and brilliant grey eyes.
Her eyes are often softened with kindness, always wide open with interest and curiosity.
Despite her kind demeanor and friendly disposition, she wears dark clothes that cover most of her body, heavy jewelry, and make-up that accentuates what she considers to be her best feature: her eyes. Most people wouldn't guess how gentle she is by looking at her.

History:
Born to two amazing parents, Finley grew up privileged in a small Irish town. When she was young, she saved a kitten from the streets, bringing her home and caring for her. The two spent a few months completely infatuated with each other, but the streets had taken hold of her poor little kitty, and she passed away. Sitting in the vet's office, she decided that it was exactly what she wanted to do with her life: save what animals she could, and comfort the families of those she couldn't. Her parents fully supported her decision and helped to cultivate a positive environment.
Throughout her early school years, it became obvious that she was different. Slightly socially awkward, she never made many friends. Her grades, however, were the highest in her school. She explained her lack of friends away, simply explaining that she would rather focus on grades.
After high school, she was accepted into a prestigious college in America for veterinary medicine. Her parents did what they needed to do and sent their daughter across the sea to the school of her dreams, where she continued her perfect academic record, promising to graduate in 2012 as valedictorian.

In 2011, the night after her birthday, tragedy struck.
She had decided to attend her first college party since coming to America. There, she met a man that enticed her. He seemed old-fashioned, easily able to keep up with her intelligence, and infatuated with her eccentric style. He offered to walk her to her dorms, but she never got there. She woke the next night to an empty bed, a changed woman.

After being found by the local Prince of the city, she was given what information she needed to survive in her new life as a vampire. The Prince himself took her under his wing, teaching her everything she would learn. However, because of her young age, he never bothered to tell her about the other creatures out there in the world.
She was devastated that she had to give up her academic career, but replaced it with self-studying. She learned everything she could about the Kindred and about her Clan. The knowledge she gained helped to comfort her about losing her Sire.
It was a year and a half after her Embrace when the Elysium run by the Prince was attacked, leaving most of the Kindred dead or destitute. Because of her connection with the Prince, she found an ally in a neighboring Prince, who granted her her single wish: to return home. She knew she wouldn't be able to spend much, if any, time with her parents, and that she was returning home a failure... but at least she was going home.
