General Rules are always subject to be changed at the will of the Admin.
1. Appropriate Posting
All members are expected to identify and differentiate their IC (in character) and OOC (out of character) posts. Keep all role-play threads in the boards specified for role-playing, as well as all OOC threads in the boards specified for the real life. Refrain from cross posting as much as possible. When it is necessary, write your comment in parenthesis at the top of your post.
2. Godmodding
The act of controlling the actions or words of other characters without the consent of the player is strictly forbidden on this site. Godmodding pertains to one person attempting to claim that another person did or said something in their own post or reply without permission or prior basis from the other player's replies.
3. Metagaming
The act of using OOC knowledge through the guise of a character is commonly called "metagaming" and strictly forbidden. Metagaming pertains to a character discovering or knowing information that they would have otherwise never known, such as the name of someone they have never met. A character can only know this knowledge through their own actions and may not, at any time, break the "fourth wall."
4. Biographies
All members are expected to post a biography of their character in the appropriate section of the board (under "Pending Characters"). Further, they are expected to use the attached template and carry specific details depending on the character. Posting biographies outside of the proper section will lead to it being returned to the poster and then deleted.
5. Player Characters
PCs, or Player Characters, are expected to follow the rules, settings, and stories of the site, as well as their own biographies. Any attempt to role-play with a character before their approval will lead to the character being refused and the account being blocked.
6. Non-Player Character
NPCs, or Non-Player Characters, are characters created for the purpose of developing or supporting a main character in a thread. Any backstory that requires an active NPC needs to be discussed with an Admin or Mod. All NPCs will be controlled by the Admin or a Mod and may only be used by members with express approval from the Admin.
7. Member Activity
It is expected for every accepted member to maintain their activity with at least one post every week (OOC posts do count towards this). If any member will be absent for an extended period of time, they are expected to inform the Admin either personally or on the board created for this purpose.
